# Settings

> When a video is uploaded or configured in your account, you can control security policies and available playback resolutions. Below is how each setting works step-by-step.

## Security Settings

* Control how videos are accessed and protected.
* Allow Direct Link Play – lets users play videos directly via URL.
* Block Direct Download – prevents downloading of video files.
* Disable 3rd Party Streamers – restricts playback on unauthorized apps or devices.
* Ensures content is secure while allowing legitimate playback.
* Applies to all playback sessions associated with your account.

## Encoding / Video Resolutions

* Determine which video qualities are available to viewers.
* Enabled Resolutions – choose from options like 1080p, 720p, or 480p.
* Supports adaptive streaming, letting the player switch quality automatically based on network speed.
* Allows manual quality selection for user control.
* Improves playback flexibility across devices and bandwidth conditions.
* Settings update the player’s available streams in real time.

<Warning>
